Located along the St. Lawrence River along Marie-Victorin Boulevard, this project consists of a 75,000-square-foot expansion of an existing 42,000-square-foot seniors' residence. SIMARD architecture has negotiated a zoning change with the City of Sainte-Catherine to allow an increase in the maximum number of floors from 4 to 8. The concept has emerged from a thorough study of the urban fabric, future development and context environmental and sociological. The new building is connected by a basilar containing the dining room, kitchen and activity areas. This basilaire unfolds towards the St. Lawrence River to connect the tower, residents and passers-by to this beautiful natural area.
